We recently learned of a family in Spanish Wells losing their home to a devastating fire. We are often asked how the cruising community can help when locals are in need. One suggestion is that you stock small items on your boat to take to The Bahamas; any household items would be appreciated when people have lost everything. Most communities have needs, but especially after a tragic loss such as a house fire. Also, currently there is a great shortage of most supplies due to shipping and trucking issues in the U.S. Be mindful of possible needs before you leave home and plan to stock some items that would be a blessing.
